Just back from an enjoyable game of football. If we had been 7-0up at h/t it would have been a fair reflection. Wright in the number 10 position was superb and the running and energy of the midfield and forwards was a joy to watch. On this performance Cosgrove should not play again this season.

St. Mirren were dreadful, but we were very good.

    4-0 going on 44-0.

    GMS superb

May should have have a hat trick after 30 mins alone.

    Should have been double figures.

St Mirren are sh1te and are going down, fact!

    Just Back.....

Well that was a bitty good!

Scott Wright playing a kind of Pawlett role and was very effective. St Mirren were pants and have their goalkeeper to thank for keeping the score respectable.

A result and performance like that should give them a jolt of confidence going into next week at Hibs.

    Get the Beers in ....

GMS, who I've seen in three games this season, looks now to be the main play maker and seems to be back enjoying his football. McGinn has slowed considerably in under a season but still has a good touch. With the young boys coming in it may not be too bad this season I hope, but I didn't like what I saw v Sevco, so the jury is still out. Secco, though, look much more impressive, unfortunately!

Not a lot to add to what has already been said but some random thoughts anyway.

What a difference in style of play without Cosgrove in the team, no bypassing midfield with lazy punts from the back but rather playing football through midfield - a real joy to watch - let's keep it going - no need to play Cosgrove at all

Set the tone after just 10 seconds when May should have scored. Scoreline could have been anything in first half, a combination of us being very good and StM just rubbish.

As others have said GMS was at his very best (get him signed up pronto please) and Scott Wright looks like a real find for the no 10 role (he also did well when came on in that role last week at Dens)

    Gleeson is growing on me

Still not sure about Forrester - looks like he will play the "quarterback role" when on much like McInnes had Mclean do last season but so far not to the same standard

May is never getting his pace back but did work hard and made some good runs. Presume he will drop out when Wilson fit

Good to see some of the youngsters get a run out today

Bring on Ayr in the next round.

    Much better football.
St Mirren were Championship standard though. They’ll go down.

Wright was Pawlettesque today in 10 role.

    Could easily have been 10.
    7 by half time alone.

Do you take pleasure in that?

A young guy on a few hundred quid a week who has upped sticks to come up here.

He is still young, got plenty of potential and might just pop up against the infirm with a set piece goal, its sad that folk are writing him off already

People are writing him off as he’s a striker who never scores. May as welll play a striker if he MIGHT score from a set piece

Cosgrove has zero potential, the guy is a f@cking donkey. Hopefully we get rid of him as soon as possible.

How badly must Stephen McLean be feeling? Not only did he have to referee a game we won but he had to give us a penalty too. Shame. Still due us a few, well many really.
