Well yes, that would still be the concern. I've seen games before where we've played with three central midfielders and none of them have taken the initiative to defend, complacent in the belief that there's always someone else to pick up the pieces. Whoever plays in the three-man midfield will simply have to step up to the plate, track runners and get their tackles in, because you won't win any games if you don't, but Hewitt aside I don't think any of our remaining midfielders are robust enough to dominate the game with just two in the middle, no matter how hard they try.
