    Nuff said.

It's a small step from the limo to the gutter, but often an unassailable mountain to get back up again.

Meanwhile Ayr United have reached the quarter finals, they will get paid £60,000 for reaching the quarter finals, plus a share of the gate money against Rangers, TV money and sponsorship.

United could not even finish in the group, never mind reaching the next stage.

Last season Ayr United were a League 1 side and have only just begun their Championshp season, yet they appear to be making big strides forward?

Ayr are full time, but last season Arbroath beat them twice and also drew with them ( but Ayr beat them in a cup match ).

I think Ayr will finish between mid table to near bottom this season - but they will be a tricky team to play, but they won't be finishing anywhere near the top 4.

Could be that our self professed tablet gangster has more interest in guarding the derrys walls than he’s let on so far ?

Suppose those twa “clubs” have a hell of a lot in common. Not all of it good either.

It all starts to make sense now

I think where Ayr finishes all depends on if they can keep a hold of Shankland. Would be a fool to go to try and sort out Dundees issues!

Will be very surprised if Ayr finish any better than mid table - very similar to teams such as Alloa, Arbroath and Dumbarton, good, decent teams, but I don't expect Ayr to to finish in the top 4.

Thats not to say United will beat them .............
