Hardy talks bollox, there is no strategic plan that is plain to see. Ilkeston Town a league above pub football is probably Chettle's level of coaching although he assisted Kevin Wilson at Nuneaton. Is the training ground that he publicly stated would be ready by Jan 1st next year part of that strategic plan too? It ain't going to happen is it Alan. Unfortunately you can only bull ****e people for so long before it comes back to haunt you.

Nothing happens by accident and has to fit a strategic plan

Yes congratulations but as an Ilkeston Town supporter, such a shame as the club with Chettle was going places, hopefully @Bigalanh5 has a succession plan in place for a similar talented manager
Think he's just spouting his usual business jargon b0LL0x . . . there appears to be very little strategy around the footballing part of the club right now!

We had an excellent young goalkeeper by the name of Curtis Hall who was told he wouldn't be offered a pro contract because all 3 keepers including Collin were going to be kept on. Strategic plan my bell end.

He's answering an Ilkeston Town fan, he's talking about a strategic plan for Ilkeston, it's not cryptic at all imo.

Sorry, missed the Ilkeston bit in that . . . still talking rubbish though, just quoting a stock answer that could be applied to any business situation so yes correct, not cryptic at all just blather.

That's exactly how I read it....Chettle was there to get experience, Ilson did well, shuffle Chets up a bit and bring in a new Ilson "trainee manager"...it just so happened to coincide with our worst Notts home game in living memory...ooops....did anyone notice Nolos reaction when Charlie asked him if that result meant he was "under pressure", he looked a bit shocked and said that obviously even being asked the question meant that some were questioning his position...at least the cat is now out of the bag...Nolo said he might have a sleepless night and the players day off had been cancelled.

Do you think he cancelled the day off so that they could be introduced to each other ?

Yeah, I noticed that. Nolo looked shocked, tho I can't imagine why. Doubt he'll lose much sleep after 10 pints and a load of Voddie chasers.
