Ermmm, he did mention "Getting beat, under the lights". Could be withdrawal symptoms or possibly a repressed memory of alien abduction. The latter sounds the most likely.

... does anyone have any background knowledge which lead to this appointment? To what extent is this an AH appointment based on our relationship with Ilky - if so, nothing more likely to unsettled the entire squad/management team, IMO.

He's been working with the notts team for a while anyway so shouldn't unsettle anyone except ilkeston . The announcement is that he's now full time with us.

... yes I too read 'working with ... a while'. Don't suppose that coincides with our declining defensive performance. Anyway, he's had no effect on our LB who is not a LB and gets worse; cheat Duffer is a lost cause; Briz's continued loss of form is hard to explain. So much for specialist coaching - they don't even do the basics correctly.

Alan Smith was the first team coach last season I think they have been holding the post open to see if he will return to the club.

Chettle is his replacement
