We are a bettet team with him in it. Look at the clean sheet stats. Still a young lad who will get better and one we need to keep and more importantly develop.

If all of our squad were just a tad above ordinary then surely we would finish well above middle table.

Spot on.I just can't get away with Clark.Thought Lejuene and Lascelles grew as a pair last season.
Having Manquillo and Clark in the same back 4 is asking for trouble.

Got to wholeheartedly disagree with this. I already think he is a top CB and I think he's going to be a future England CB. To be honest I'm a tad shocked to see a thread on him. I also think he's growing into the captain's role well which can't be easy for a guy of his age at a club the size of ours.

Pre world cup I would have rated Lacelles ahead of Maguire. Never thought Maguire would be first choice in the England back four. But put him into a decent side with other good defenders he shone.

I think Lacelles would do well in a better side. I like him.

Two games into the season and we criticise a player who was on Chelsea´s radar in the close season?

I would like to see him develop the attacking side of his game, especially at the set pieces but he is a good defender and you can´t fault his commitment.
