As for Owen Bell, first seen him play for Lochar Thistle youths on a Sunday morning when he'd be about 7, seen him a good few times since then and always liked the energy he had and the way he makes space to receive the ball and then move it on. He's still young and learning, don't think he's 20 yet but he's at an age were he needs to play regular and be tested so hopefully he'll get a bit more game time with the first team. Also let's hope the reserve team games are of a higher standard than the 20's games where as that will also help the young lads at Queens to improve.

Given the fact that young Owen stepped in to play a full 90 minutes against SPL opposition I thought he did really well indeed!
He needs to ply his trade with the reserves to hone his skills and develop his game, - because we'll need him this season when injuries and suspensions kick in.
One word of warning to Owen, - "please don't be tempted to try and trip up a faster player. You tried that trick twice on Saturday and thankfully failed to make contact, - either of which would have been an immediate booking.
Better to put in the effort to chase the player and hopefully force him into an error, - or for you to make a last ditch tackle. You are not Harkins age, - so you can run all day, - that apart - a superb well done young man"
