Where are they now? Notts managers of the last decade

Steve Thompson - Not managed since, think he's currently a BBC Radio Lincolnshire pundit.
Ian McParland - Not managed since, Notts TV pundit.
Hans Backe - Managed New York Red Bulls then Finland national team but didn't win a single match and was sacked Dec/2016. Where now?
Dave Kevan - Not managed since but has been on coaching staff of loads of clubs since including a return to Notts. Currently out of work it seems.
Steve Cotterill - Managed four clubs since, the last being Birmingham in March 2018.
Craig Short - Not managed since, has been on coaching staff at Blackburn and Derby, still at Derby?
Paul Ince - Managed Blackpool for 42 games 4 years ago, other than being on Football Focus yesterday, don't know what he's doing now.
Martin Allen - Currently manager of Chesterfield.
Keith Curle - Recently left Carlisle after 4 years as manager there, probably looking to get another club.
Chris Kiwomya - Not managed since or done anything of note. Where now?
Sean Derry - Currently a coach at Oxford having been manager of Cambridge for 2 years, also co-commentated for TalkSport.
Ricardo Moniz - Managed FC Eindhoven, Randers FC and now a Slovakian team.
Jamie Fullarton - Currently manager of Halifax.
Mark Cooper - Currently Forest Green manager.
John Sheridan - Already managing his 3rd club (Carlisle United) since being sacked by Notts.

Wow cheers for that dude.... some horror names in there and also some half decent ones... only Cotteril and Allen left any lasting memories for me... I was pretty excited about the appointment of Moniz and the promise of exciting football but that fell through pretty quickly.

Fullerton actually doing a good job for Halifax - currently 2nd in the National league. He has a lot to prove, good luck to him.

Derby’s website still lists Craig Short as an assistant coach with their academy.

Plenty of the others left lasting memories ..... just not good ones!

Thompson interviews made me smile though, and although I never wanted him, can't help thinking he made a half-decent go of it given how long he had to get a team together.

Steve Cotterill, the man who took the underperforming Munto galacticos and organised them into an unbeatable unit balancing flair and results focus and achieving 6 wins and 2 draws in his first full month in charge. Mmmmm.....

I felt sorry for him when he was at Notts. Dropped in at the deep end and looked waaaaaay out of his depth. Really tone-deaf appointment given where we were as a club and what the fans wanted from a manager (experience, leadership, charisma, not being a F*rest academy coach...). Best of luck to him, but I hope to god we never make a hiring that bad again.

To be fair, that team had a cracking defence and midfield. Bishop and Ravenhill would stop a freight train, Lee and Eddy where cracking centre backs as well. He'd probably dispair at the current lot defensively

Bit of a frightening list innit? & don't forget that each of these managers got the job because they were deemed the best of the applicants!!! How many would you prefer to KN at the moment? but still some fans are convinced that if we were to get rid the queue of "much better managers" would stretch well beyond the "Navi"!!
