This is their latest scapegoat denial piece. They are claiming the fixture pile up and perceived inaction cost them 20 million in CL prize money by not winning the league and everything would have been bright admin and liquidation wouldn't have happened.

The league season was extended. For the first time ever the last games were played midweek. Gordon Smith then SFA boss even offered to move the Scottish Cup Final which would have been a slap in the face to QOS whose season had already finished weeks earlier and this would have further disadvantaged them. What they also seem to forget is one of the reasons their fixture pilled up was they took the option to postpone a home game against Gretna, yes Gretna before a CL game earlier on in the season. Stupid idiots cant have their cake and eat it.

Talking of fixture pile ups where was the big media campaign to help Dundee United when we got to the UEFA Cup Final? We played a similarly large number of games that season (It was a 44 league game season then). We played a Scottish Cup Final sandwiched between our UEFA Cup Final ties. We were completely dead on our feet and it cost us 2 trophies in 5 days. I don't remember the SFA then offering to move the Scottish Cup Final.

And who can forget the season we played Slovakia on the Thursday night and had to play a league game at Ibrox on the Saturday afternoon. I don't remember Rangers offering to move the game.

But hey George Peat, who was always a Rangers sympathiser has fed them their latest paranoia complex for a disaster that was all self inflicted.
