    Er No.

    Could have been a tiger moth or a logga head. Common 40 years ago, especially if you had a fluorescent light in your Mam and Dad's kitchen.

    Sadly, you would be very lucky to encounter one now.

    I sound like Richard Attenborough.

    But it's so sad that we have lost such beautiful insects.

    .. No sure, but was a big brown one. Biggest I recall seeing. Went out the door eventually, after swooping me a few times and taking no notice to the the fact that I had opened the patio doors ..
