Old Team Blues for Dyche at Turf Moor Today.

Burnley were on the wrong end of a 3-1 mauling at Turf Moor today. Joe Hart's recent clean sheets were well and truly consigned to the dirty laundry bin. - External Link

A really class act and so much a part of who we were.

He was a giant part of Burnley FC and is irreplaceable.

    R.I.P Jimmy

I have played golf with Jimmy at Burnley Golf Club, sat with him in the Hargreaves hospitality area, but above all I can clearly remember what a true legend is like on a football field.

Devastated is a a word I think is badly overused, but like you blueheeler, today I am absolutely devastated at the news of Jimmy's passing. Where's the whisky?

Never saw him play but my Father never stopped enthusing about Jimmy being the greatest ever Burnley player.
    Sad day.

It is hard to describe but he did not run, he seemed to glide across the playing surface.

A forward line of Connelly, McIlroy, Pointer, Robson and Harris. We will never see their likes again!,

    Aye BT.

Those of us lucky enough to be watching in those days were privileged.

There was a real magic around Turf Moor in those days and Jimmy was the star act.
