.. You believe wrong, only Molyneux has had a place on the bench .. We lost some of the best youngins when we got relegated and about five are now in the first team so did not play. It is a weak team as the best have gone or are now in our first team. Always good to get one over, but a bit of realism will save a bit of disappointment in the future ..

Sunderland Under-23s: Johnstone; Hume, Bainbridge, Taylor, Hunter; Hackett, Robson, Embleton; Connelly, Molyneux, Shields.

Sunderland Subs: Storey, Patterson, Diamond, Bale, Kimpioka.

Fair enough - i recognised Molyneux and a couple of others and thought i'd heard them mentioned in your line ups during the weekend games.

Why on earth would we be interested in the line up of a 3rd Divisions Reserve Team

    Get a grip man Andy.

It said in the commentary that both line yos had 4 players with competetive 1st team experience.

Woodman, Sterry, Roberts and Barlaser for us.

Molyneux, Hume and two others of tge 41 players no-one knows for them.

    From chronicle live:

With two divisions between the North-East clubs the plight of Sunderland’s current financial status was summed up as Black Cats players turned up in cars rather than the traditional team bus.

.. That's funny mate. Molyneux has came on once from the bench around the 90th minute. Who is this first teamer Hume, never heard of him, and who are the other two? Did we sneak a couple of others on who were not on the team sheet lol. It's complete bollox. Where was our 18 year old Maja? He plays for the first team now. Where was out 16 year old Mumba? He plays for the first team now. And enlighten me about these two others? ..

.. It was a great win for you and a very poor result for us, but some of you ****ers have completely lost the plot, actually comparing it with our six in a row ffs .. As I mentioned our best reserves are now either in our first team or were poached. We are a third division team with a lot of injuries and have to depend on the youngsters. Great result for your lot but you really have to have some realism about this under 23 game. I do understand that it's not like you have much to be happy about atm, and that you have to make hay while the sun shines, but these hysterics come on! ..

.. I can tell you one thing which is highly likely. This time next year our reserves will have improved, some got rid of and we will have been strengthened the reserve squad. We will probably get two or three into the first team or on the fringes of it. You will be lucky to get one through. We have been where you are. It is not a good place to be for bringing the kids through. That's a shame mind ..
