    Ah, call my bluff

Wonderful program, Frank Muir and Patrick Cambell

I was on a plane with Frank Muir once, pink bow tie but he still looked like he would have an eye for the ladies.

    Back to the song

    Ryan Jack's a minker and a hun
    Oh Ryan Jack's a minker
    Ryan Jack's a minker
    Ryan Jack's a minker and a hun.

That song is surely a tad tautological?

Aye, Frank Muir. .... that was a generational thing, the kind of effete lothario persona.

    Call my bluff was good

Minker might be a NE thing, it’s certainly not a word used round these parts. Minks, gudgies, gadders aye but never minker

Great song.. great programme (BBC2 8.30)
We could add to it with a first verse of
I'd rather be a minker than a hun
Oh I'd rather be a minker than a hun
    I'd rather be a minker
    I'd rather be a minker
I'd rather be a minker than a hun
    Then the Rat verse
We could then end it with a big 'Gaaads"

We should add in the sheep shagging and hun reference as well.
Instead of Mrs Mols it could be

Oh I'd rather shag a sheep than a hun
Oh I'd rather shag a sheep than a hun
    I'd rather shag a sheep
    I'd rather shag a sheep
I'd rather shag a sheep than a hun

Nope. It sounds like we’re happy to be minkers as long as we’re not Huns. That may well be true but I’d rather not be either

Fair point, it's about setting how low huns are.
We don't want to be minkers, but thats preferable to being a hun

It would fair annoy them if we sang

Oh I'd rather be a Tim than a Hun.

Not that we would ever want to or be Tim's but again, they're lower than their hated rivals
