So what if we get £10m or £15m, we wont see any of it so why bother? ALL of that cash will go to paying for the new stadium. We can argue all day whether that is right or wrong, but strengthening your rivals while trying to be clever with money is ludicrous.
I would sell. They're buying potential, with the red glasses off does anybody truly believe he is outstanding and a 10M player. If we get min 3.5M it will be taken. Hayes as a makeweight, bring in Mulumba, Jordan and striker. We'd be better.

Nah ,need him at left back.

    Bring back Ash

Or see if Hamilton Accies have any other young central defenders we can pick up for buttons

No way we should sell him for that.

    He's captained Scotland, McGinn hadn't
McGinn had only a year left and Hibs wanted £4M, McKenna has 5 years on his contract.
Celtic sold Armstrong for circa £7M with one year left on his contract and he hadn't captained the national team either.

It has to be £10M, with a sell on clause, albeit the upsale value from Celtic would not be as high as if he went down south.
Can you put a provision that there are two sets of sell-ons?

Then is Celtic want to reduce, we can negotiate to buy (not loan) for Morgan, Christie
If Celtic are genuinely interested in signing one our best players then I personally would tell them they will have to stump up £10m plus Griffiths permanently. We shouldn’t be dealing with Celtic unless we improve our team on a permanent basis. McKenna is a fantastic player and absolutely no way we should be giving him to Celtic for peanuts. Celtic are a rich club and can easily afford my suggestion.

Aren't The Tims after some Dutch centre-half playing in Germany ?
Don't think McKenna would be in their sight to be honest.

Aye Jeffrey Bruma for 7 million.

McKenna will be their cheaper back up option which in itself should be enough for him to tell them to poke it.

Look at John McGinn already becoming a hero down Villa after 2 games, wouldn't get that at the dhims.

As an absolute minimum, we should not accept anything less than the £7.5M Celtic received as a bonus for the Van Dyke sale to Liverpool in January.
A free player for them at that price

I dont see them coming in for Scott, they already have 2 young CBs and he would not be the answer for them right now.
