He has lost the plot if he seriously thinks he did no wrong.

Hull had a bad start, we should have attacked from KO then we could have pulled one back into midfield but obviously you have to put the right players on.

So he puts one up front who got no help in first half from midfield and most of time Smith had to pull back and help else where so we had no player up front. Seriously how is that winning games?

He put the right players on (sub) but it was too late

The game was there for the taking.

Now I am getting worried, two of those games he mentions are away at two fancied sides so yes one up front but not at home against one of the poorest teams in the league.

Hull didn't have a bad start.
Like Ipswich we couldn't get the ball off them for 15 mins

PW's thoughts mirror mine on the the post match thread.
Individual errors cost us not the formation.

3-5-2 might be worth a try but not 4-4-2. We'll bet passed to death and overrun

They only played one up front as well didn't they?
I really was expecting to play ajayi in midfield with manning and palmer last night.
I was surprised to see smith on his own. Maybe he was expecting manning to push on and help him more when vassell could have done better.

    Maybe we could play a 4 1 3 2 at home.
    Summat like:

    Rodak

    Vyner Raggett Wood Mattock
    Ajayi
    Forde Manning Williams
    Smith Proctor

OK you could argue about the players Ive chosen for this but you get my drift. Ajayi sitting would help solidify the defence while the midfield would have a bit of mobility to em.

One up front does not work at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We should be attacking from minute one at home. Stop giving away teams too much respect and play like we do best, attacking!

He’s talking 2 away games there which we generally agree with one up front.

Ipswich his formation was 4-4-1-1 yes you can say two up front but Vassell was on which made a difference and we won the game whether he thinks we struggled or not, we won .

Now If he played the same formation we might have won against Hull or if he put the right players on from start or subs at half time we would have won imo.

Warney got it wrong, he needs to admit that and stop being stubborn

Oh and another thing, don’t we normally bypass midfield so why bother putting five there, might aswell put three up front and five in defence with two midfielders 😂

I’m on about their opening games not our game at home

    Spot on!

Keep going Warne with your wrong tactics and see what happens.
I agree there were 3 individual errors but Hull were never rocking until you saw the light and put two then three up front to try to rescue something bit it was too late!

Forget about last years 4-5-1 at home, several players from that successful formation are no longer here. We need a new Frecklington type player and now!
