    Paul Green

Any news on Greens injury. I beleive their GK has a broken leg but I've not heard anything about Green.

This is what Artell said after the match......"Their lad has got a broken leg, & Paul Green is booked for doing some serious damage to his own leg. It was a coming together & both lads have come out on the wrong end of it. We’ll send Greeny in for all the necessary tests & whatnot over the next few days, but it doesn’t look good". Just our luck again. Could be crucial to our progress this season.

So...probably out for the season and Harry also missing for a long time. So much for a stable team!! At least in centre midfield we do have options. I think Harry P may e harder to replace.

Harry P has grade 3 hamstring
Grade 3 tears are the most severe and can take months to heal apparently. Green looks out for the season according to the OS

This is a good test of if Artells learned his lessons from last year - 2 key injuries and no replacements meant a season of struggle.

He's got two key injuries now and he needs to act, NG can not be at left back for 3 months

Well he's got a loanee left back.
Can he play wing back as we may be able to play three at the back.

He says he's played midfield as well as left back (but centre mid), but mainly a left footed defender who likes to get forward when he can, so I suspect happier at full back than wing back - no doubt we'll see! At least Perry doesn't have to play LB.

Kevin O'Connor. The richest man on the field against Macc. no doubt. Lottery winner. 1 million euros. Trouble is, he cannot spend them in Crewe.

Great news that Greeny could be back in the New Year after all - though 12 weeks in a knee brace will need a deal of conditioning work before he can play. Also interesting that, with a physical midfielder down, Brad Walker's so far down the pecking order he still goes out on loan to Wrexham till the earliest date Green could return...

Artell would be better giving him the opportunity to play at Crewe but its probable that Walker would be better off getting some game time and then look for another club in January he is wasting his time with Artell at Crewe, he needs to find a club who is interested in developing him as a player and I get the impression that is not going to happen for him at Crewe.
