    Brereton and Reed

Are both due to come for medical tomorrow. And both are due to sign.

Brereton is a season long loan, but we have to buy him for £6m. I know you all disagree, but then you all said we'd only consolidate and struggle this season. So i'd suggest just seeing what happens before moaning. Like worrying if Dack can make the step up. One-day the fear may leave, and belief in what is going on should by rights take over.

Reed can play in multiple positions in midfield. And cover RB.

I don't think we will do anymore. We have cover at Centre half as that's what Rodwell was signed as. Not midfield.

I think the apprehension about this season was through the fact we have gone up a level
Saying we would walk the league would be completely foolish
We currently look good but we are only 5 games in
Back on topic, both of these deals will be great for the club and 6 million is about right and will help in what is a long hard season.

I don't think anyone would say we can walk this league. Having absolutely nothing to fear, that's fair enough I always thought? Coming up, we where already better than half this league. And we have a brilliant manager working wonders. You could see last season we where building. Now all I can see is a club going places, with a manger building something special.

I concur.. The spirit now is the most similar to Hughes's reign than at anytime since he left. I like the way we can scrap like yesterday, as much as we can play some really nice football..

I think "fear" is the wrong word, Champs. I always thought it would be a battle, because of so many even teams. I have seen nothing to change my mind. We could easily be looking at several more points than we have...or several fewer!
As far as I can remember, none of the regulars on this site ever said that Dack would not make the step-up.
I think you are very bold to say we are already better than half the teams in this Division. I reckon it's far too early for things to have settled into a pattern.
As for Brereton, I will be very interested to see him, and who he is going to replace. It's not a question of "moaning". A sceptical view is just as valid as an assumption that it must be right if Mowbray suggests it.
I will welcome Brereton and Reed, but I welcomed Murphy and Whittingham. No manger is beyond question.
I will be honest, though. I do think Reed is unnecessary. He covers exactly what Travis covers, and I'd rather see the latter given a chance than dispatched on loan.
It's just a personal opinion. But it isn't necessarily "wrong" simply because it is not in line with Mowbray's.
If they turn out to be brilliant signings, I will be very happy, but that won't mean I was wrong to express the opinion - for example - that someone like Gallagher would have been a safer bet. We'll never know!
Glad to see we've beaten them down to 6M, though - a much more sensible price.

I think 6m is still significantly overpaying personally.. 4m about right to me.. The market is what it is though.. Nobody at Blackburn Rovers fault.

You know my motto, Saxo: when in doubt, blame Thatcher. That's usually not far short of the mark.

I agree. Had that fluke goal not gone in away at Ipswich we should had could be top. And deservedly so.

Why the apprehension? Blackburn are a good side historically (I know this usually means squat but sides like us eventually get things right).
Plus you have a good manager and now with Ben, should be ready to make some teams pay and who knows a few good results, confidence and all that, who knows what can happen?
of course you ain't gonna win the League, but why not a push for top 6?

Hi mate. Good to hear from you.
Great question? One I'd love to know the answer to aswell.
I'm shocked we are getting such a talent. And think Forest are making a big mistake. But let's worry about him being rubbish rather than welcome him and support him. Fear, and negativity from 5 years ago.
