We don't retain a quality player like McAuley, supposedly because of his age, and then sign an ageing full back who is not rated by the fans of his previous club. We need to be signing a promising youngster and not old players who are past it. We might as well have kept Nyom who did at least have a bit of pace going forward. I sincerely hope that I am proved wrong but this signing does not inspire me at all. How many seasons is it now that we have been waiting for us to sign a quality right back. I hope this does not mean that he is going to play Dawson at right back with Mears as cover. Dawson is desperately needed in the centre of our defence.

I don't feel sorry for Big Dave, as someone needs to deliver the results for immediate promotion otherwise who takes the wrap - Big Dave, Jenkins, the Chinky or Baggie Bird? Don't get me wrong, I love Big Dave but no sentiment in a results driven business and why can't he see - Chris Brunt is no CM player when the whole ground can see it?

Again a club with NO AMBITION and that's what shows - past - present and future!
Macaully was OUT of contract. Barry was not. He triggered an extension. The only way to get rid of Barry was to sell him.

You love Big Dave? You were calling him thick a month ago.

The absence of the usual fanfare of a new player signing holding the shirt says it all about what the club thinks of our new signing,it would have made more sense to keep hold of Kane Wilson and bought him on

You can tell Jenkins is back at the club we get spun a potential signing from the prem and we end up with a nobody who is the cheap option never mind as long as we make a profit it's no good having a strong budget if you don't spend it.

Don't worry lads there is £27m in the club coffers somewhere, I am sure that will be utilised soon.
