Brad Lyons: Coleraine midfielder on brink of Blackburn move - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45377206

This move has happened after the deadline, so unlikely Chapman was ever happening today.

Sorry - totally off topic, but the Leeds/Middlesbrough result was the best possible for the rest of us!

I've looked him up, but it just says "midfielder" on Transfermarkt. Is he a wide player?

He'll be for the u23s like the Walsall lad I think.. Wouldn't expect he's an alternative to Chapman.

That is 2 loans completed today. Isn't that all our loan options exhausted anyway now?

Yeah this lad is signed for our U23 squad.
He is very highly rated, and has already played 1st team games for Walsall. He was on the bench vrs us later last season. He will be one for the future.

It was Auks. Not a great game, both sides didn't want to lose, than go for it and try to win it. Both solid teams, I can see why they are up there.
But I'm still left with the overriding feeling we absolutely nothing to fear of either of these sides. Not saying we will certainly beat them both, or finish above them. I just think we can give all these sides a really good go.

Brentford where supposed to be a very good side. I'm not saying they are not. Just last week they lost to a side missing 2/3 influential players. We have to keep taking this into games. Which I think we are. And the Greek god ....Bennett is literally carrying this side on his back. Because the guy is immense. He never stops. But he also creates goals. And is a massive player for us. Number one on the team sheet now.

What is Chapman going to do now for the next four months? He'll probably be bench-warming, as Pulis clearly doesn't rate him that highly.
Why couldn't the paperwork have been sitting there, ready to sign, anyway? As for the "deadline" days, they have made the whole system worse, because every club plays cat-and-mouse until the last minute, only for the mouse - quite often - to stay in its hole. It's bloody daft. (Incidentally, I read somewhere that deals CAN go through until midnight, if there was just paperwork to clear up. Does anyone know if that's true?)
Back to Butterworth. He's had a big reputation for a while. He's not a winger, though. He looks another in the mode of Dack and Armstrong: quick, skilful, direct.
I doubt if we will see that much of him yet - not with such a wide choice, now, in front of the midfielders.
In two years time, though, we might well have a team with a majority of academy-graduates. Quite rare, I should think.
Young Grayson played vrs Lincoln. He was up against 2 very big physical blokes, who did give the rough treatment early on. But he stood up and played well. Another one what could make it.

    Nyambe Wharton Platt Doyle (Jack)
    Rankin-Costello Tomlinson Travis Hardcastle
    Nuttall Butterworth

The team in two years time? Obviously not, but a lot will be in contention, and that's without the new ones, and those who have position-clashes with the XI mentioned.
    Very encouraging.

So has this Lyons lad joined or not?
Why does everything have to be so cloak-and-dagger?
It's maddening. Whatever happened to freedom of information?
Don't tell me: it's "commercially sensitive". Anyone found guilty of using that phrase should be given three-months' community-service, specialising in sewer cleaning.
