Not suggesting that we'll get those back to back wins. It's going to be a cut-throat league by the looks of it. If a team can put a good run of 8 wins together, they will be lookin good.

We could do it. Maybe not yet, but give us a month where we keep in touch with the top of the league and the team get a bit of time to gel and get confidence I could see us going on the type of run that says 'we're contenders'.

There WILL be some serious competition at the top of this league though.
It is early days yes, but the problem is 'this bunch' are playing the same old slow, turgid football as the last bunch and there has been zero improvement from the very first game of the League Cup.
Common denominator? The manager!! We'll do nothing this season while he is in charge. Absolutely nothing.

    That was terrible the day
Defensive minded against a part time team
No energy and we looked like we were treading water at times

I know it’s early days but the chance to go top was there
Would have been a nice confidence booster with 3 back to back wins
Shabba had other ideas with his negative tactics

Shabba is apparently angry that we didnt manage the game in the last 10 minutes to get the win! I have said before that i dont see why we have to go to a place like Alloa and feel we have to "manage" a game to see out the win! Shouts of the negativity that is seeing us loose important points like today that could, or maybe will eventually see us as play-off failure specialists!

It comes to the obvious, a decent manager would get much more from this squad

That will be the main frustration of this season when we come up short

I was quite impressed with Alloa, I think they will take points off other teams, especially at home with that narrow pitch, so a point considering we were outplayed for large parts isn't necessarily a disaster, but the performance was, we were lucky to get the point.

We are so slow moving the ball, but when you consider to play the ball out you have to use your full-backs and try and pass your way through midfield, that is no surprise when you look at our full-backs today, and the two slow limited/defensive midfielders we play with.

The centre halves were good today, but our full backs and centre mids were major problems for us.

I’m sick of this bogey team crap
    It was Dumbarton last season
So what if the pitch was narrow
We should have enough to see the likes of Alloa off
It’s our manager that’s the problem
