Loan player signed at the 11th hour. Corie Whelan from Liverpool. Defender aged 20. Left the Alex at the age of nine to join the Reds. Sounds a good prospect. Eligible to play in that lesser trophy game against Tranmere next week. We can have a good look at Kevin O'Connor (from Preston) when he lines up at LB against Macc. on Saturday. He is what I would term a "lucky" player. Well he did happen to win one million euros on the Irish Lottery.
