MillersMad Matchthread - The Millers v Wigan

It really has been a remarkable start to the season! Out of the games Warney would have put down as a great chance to win we have won. This coming after the Brentford game which would have been the biggest wake up call that they would have experianced in their lives. Out of the players who played in that team a lot of them are still there including Wood who most supporters thought was being kept on as part of the coaching team.

It looks as though the players Paul Warne wanted are the players Warne has got. We have all critisised the recruitment staff for the way the recruitment of players to the club has operated in the past but it seems that they are all working together and getting the job done. They have given Paul Warne the players he believes in. It's now up to Paul Warne to get them playing well as a team.

We now have 4 natural central midfielders or 5 of you count Ajayi. These are the players the training staff targetted and asked for so from now until January these players have to prove their worth!
It was made clear that players would have to come in on loan and they have been. The players that should be good enough to see us through to January are here.

It is so bloody important that we keep out of the bottom 3 of the table come January because the teams in and around that area will have money to spend and will spend it on players from higher up the league. No more teams will want to do what Sunderland have done but there are many capable of following them down to league 1.

We have nothing to lose really! We are not expected to survive in this division but we are capable of surviving! In fact mentally we are probably more prepared for it this year than many of the teams that will be around us!
We have to dig in, keep our shape, keep nicking the wins and keep believing that we will be in with a shout to not only survive but to go one better and survive comfortably!

    We can do this!

Towell named as sub - so initial report on Sheffield Star website re his availability was wrong, yet again. Do they bother checking anything relating to the Millers? It's almost like they are doing it deliberately.
Mattock starts, and looks like we're playing 4-5-1 with Smithy up front on his own

Unless the Star are right and we’ve just worked ourselves into a points deduction and fine.

Taylor starts so that’s another 3 points down the pan.

Taylor must be more defensive that Vassell.

Vyner must love the inconsistancy and the change of player each week in front of him.
