Disappointed he's not staying but hey-ho. It's not the end for the world and it was expected.
We've lost better players.
Odd move though.

At least he's nae sucking on the hun teet I suppose.
I remember somebody posting not too long ago that the club will probably be saving the news of Shinnie re-signing for before the final or the likes. Some big news to keep the punters happy. Now what?
We need a decent January window. There's money there, get it spent for f*ck sake.
Hopefully Wigan want him now and offer us money to pay for a few slabs and tin of paint.

It probably is as simple as that. Didn't Norwich do something similar with McLean then loaned him back.
Disappointed about Shinnie but it's the food chain. We got him from ICT on a pre-contract and now he's leaving for more money.
Would we take him back in two years if it goes pear shaped?
Shinnie will be a big miss, best captain since the glory days by miles. Leader on and off pitch.
All the best Graeme
Folk in various places trotting out the usual cliches.
“Who the fu*k would live in a sh1tehole like Wigan”?
He won’t.
He’s only about 20-25 miles from Manchester & nice parts of Cheshire.
He’ll be getting about £8-£10k per week.
We’ll be offering approximately £4K-£5k tops.
He has a young family
He’s 27?
It’s his last chance to move to England.
The Championship was the best he was ever going to get.
Folk trot out more cliches about “well he’ll win f**k all at Wigan”.
Of course he won’t.
But he’s won f**k all here.
“He won’t get to play in Europe”
Aye, missing out on 2 games per season in the qualifiers, maybe 4 if we get a lucky draw.
Remind me why he’d want to stay for half the money in a league he’s played in for 10 years?
For Shinnie and his family it is not a decision he has taken lightly, a football playing career is not a long one and by providing more financial security for the future he has made the correct decision......assuming he has signed a pre-contract and passed a medical I wish him all the best, he has been a good employee of our club that sadly cannot match the wages on offer in the 2nd/3rd tier of English football.
