Perhaps he learned his lesson the hard way. Maybe it was Mr Mad that led the Alex Smith uprising after the BK1903 Copenhagen game and he's felt bad ever since. Hayes incoming, but on a pemanent deal, not a loan, seems to be the whisper this afternoon. The lesser of two evils I suppose, but I still cannot understand the logic in giving anybody over 30 more than a 2 year deal.

We did it with McGinn, we've offered Stewart, who'll be 29 in a few weeks, a 3 year deal apparently, and no doubt Hayes will be looking for at least a 2.5 yr deal.

Where are you hearing that Hayes is coming in on a permanent deal? The EE are reporting that we can't afford him. I don't know how long he has left in his contract but you'd think he would just sit it out if it's another year or six months because he won't get the same deal again...
