Not sure we can play all 3. Mcinnes likes everyone being able to defend as well. It would be nice though. I remember John Hughes talking about having nightmares before playing us because he didn't know who to focus on, Hayes, McGinn or Rooney.

with stewart here I can see us playing a 3-5-2 & in some games 4-5-1 with stewart playing just behind the striker(s)

now all we need is Shinnie & GMS to aign new contracts

Joe S to sign a pre-contract to replace either Consi or Reynolds . Our star defender should only be sold if we are offered at least 9m

If Celtic want him the asking price should be 12m & not a penny less
    I’m afraid talk of £9m & £12m is fanciful.

ngland might pay it in this crazy world they live in

Celtic if they want him should have to pay more than anyone else since they play in the same League

We should also demand 30-40% of any future transfer fee

    It’s not Championship Manager though.

Reckon we could and should against all bar the Glasgow two where Dirk can get his kicks deploying all the outfield as man-markers.

McLennan can switch wings at will, full-back becomes wing-back in their intervals as switch play. Cosgrove started his spree dropping deeper and we relented on punting the telegraphed long high ball. His link-up play improved no end. Opposition would be under the assumption that Stewart and May are playing off the big man but if all three are allowed to form partnership most games, they have the potential movement to cause havoc and if May joins in with the other two - goals can be a-plenty.

Would love to see it - something new and deploying our best team into a flexible system that suits them rather than merely enabling the favoured 4-2-3-1 with a few becoming pretty ineffectual. Just as Shinnie is well within his rights to weigh up a glamour move to Engerland Division 1 - the manager is well within his rights to instruct him to drop the headless chicken act and act as anchor man, often covering Lowe’s patrol of the left flank. Young Ferguson a bit more licence to get closer to the inside forwards.

Potential hell of an attacking unit playing to the strengths of best players who will be here next season and perhaps with Lowe’s integral cog role focusing more on his ability to get forward and provide than defend - might just get the talented lad to push for a longer stay. More disciplined role for Shinnie and bench cover duties for GMS - give them plenty of time to focus on their new pastures and wealth.

Stewart revels and continues the Killie form and demands to sign the 3yr contract. McLennan plays with the swagger of a young man firmly established as first choice winger. Lowe engineers a permanent stay with us. McKenna sticks on another couple of million onto his price-tag. Super Joe signs another long term contract. Sam and tramp vie with Stewart for the ballon d’or. Lewis signs the long term deal that newly appointed captain status deserves. Win win win X 3, Draw, Draw. Title comes home.

Peterborough come knocking on transfer deadline day, as desperate to get Forrester back that they stick another £100k onto our original outlay. Halkett and Shauggnessy’s three year deals signed, Considine and Reynolds going the other way.

Ball signs a cheap deal for flexible cover. Manager’s summer condensed into couple of quality central midfielders, a steady ambidextrous wing-back and a couple of flair loans.

Newly formed Rangers 54 FC come calling for the manager in the summer and he tells them to **** off needing no time to make up his mind. Pitting his often criticised managerial credentials against the might of Barry Ferguson and Paul McStay down in weegie land, he steers the club into a period of unparalleled success.

Buoyed by the £70m record transfer fee received for the world’s greatest centre-back and the £500m investment from new chairman Cormack, Aberdeen FC add the Champions League to their trophy laden Miller Arena Museum. Adidas convinces the board to sign the 15yr £1B kit deal which is contractually obliged to sport the trefoil badge and proper three stripes.

Winning everything in their sight, Cormack continues the love-in by confirming abandonment of the Kingsford farce having successfully managed to buy up all around Pittodrie to commence wholescale redevelopment with a left-field new location for the Ferguson Training Complex.

Meanwhile, think we might just edge it today, coming from behind to sneak it 2-1 late on. Super-sub Forrester’s corner flag bound shot taking a wicked deflection past the hapless visiting keeper in injury time.

Half way there with your prediction so far. Surely Forrester will be a goner...didn’t even make the bench against Stenhousemuir. We still have Del’s trump card signing of a defensive midfielder to still be unveiled so you will certainly be very close to your initial prediction.

Aye I'm going for Forrester out on loan + another if DM can line up a couple of players to get closer to the starting XI than a number are at the moment eg Wright, Gleeson etc

So, has DM been quoted as saying he is looking for another two additions this window?

If so, must be a winger and a creative midfielder.

Must also mean two more going out, Forrester is a given. I suppose a lot depends on bids coming in for McKenna, and/or Shinnie and GMS. If not, maybe loan deals for Campbell and Wright?

Hopefully no more loans coming in - we've surely got enough of them now. I'm hoping we're working on pre-contracts with guys out of contract in summer, with the possibility of paying a small fee to bring them in 6 months early.
