All strikers go through droughts.
May has shown in the last couple of months a marked improvement.
We would not have had our winner against Hibs if it were not for his striking instinct.
Some are too quick to write off players (Cosgrove anyone) and potentially he can come good again.
Maybe not though, lets see.
Lets hope he pops up with the winner tonight
All true... but this is a goal drought that's lasted 2 seasons. If we had a defender who never won a header or made a tackle, he'd be dropped. A keeper who never saved a shot, would also be dropped. Yet a striker who never scores or rarely ever looks like scoring keeps his place for 2 seasons.
Anyway, that's the last i'll say about May. I've nothing against the lad and I wish him well every time he puts on the Dons shirt - would love to see him score tonight as I'm pretty sure he'll be starting again. And I'd be delighted to have to come back on here and apologise at the end of the season if he suddenly hits the goal trail!
