there is no doubt he can play, but I'm not sure if he is that interested in being the player he once was. Let him go elsewhere and if he turns it on there then well done to him.

Bring through youth is a long game, DM has been here around 5 years and we're now seeing a trickle of decent young players coming through.. I'm optimistic about our youth academy.
I do agree that he could take a bit more risk in playing them though.
I don't know if we have, I know that Peter Weir is scouting elsewhere. The training camps were ditched.

The youth team is looking good though. Big things are expected of a few players.

How the fvck do you navigate to the youth squad on the official site! Canny work it out!
Also it's needing updated as a lot of the first team stats are way out of date. E.G Connor McClennan hasn't played yet!

It's the type of signing we make - very rarely can we pick up the in form players in the league in their early 20s as Celtic or Rangers snap them up and ruin their careers... the list of examples is too long to mention. We end up getting them when they've gone there, or down south, and either not made the grade, or got injured. We take a punt on them returning to the form they showed when we were unable to get them first time round. Occassionally it works, most of the time it doesn't.

We did well getting Shinnie and McLean when they were form players in the league and we probably managed to get Devlin due to his injury, and Ferguson as he hadn't played that many games yet, but it's rare. For example, Lewis Morgan would've been a great signing for us last season, but he goes to Celtic, never plays, and in a couple of years he might become available at which point we'll take a punt on him and he may or may not turn into the player he once promised to be.

O'Halloran is the kind of guy i'd expect us to be interested in - when he was playing well for Saints he was one of the better attacking players in the league. Rangers was always going to be a bad move for him and the time in Australia maybe just didn't work out because he didn't settle on the other side of the world (similar to McGinn). I won't be doing cartwheels if we sign him, but I'll be happy enough with it.

I was under the impression that O'Halloran had a bit of an attitude?

Not sure where I heard that from, maybe just "whispers" but I can't see McInnes signing a known trouble maker/poor attitude player.

Certainly a signing that doesn't excite me.

    I'd rather take Hayes back!
