For what it’s worth, I’d see Halkett going to Hibs as Efe Ambrose replacement.
Shaughnessy I’m not convinced about at all.
I actually think they’re other centre half, Jason Kerr, is better.
And he’s not a leftie, which you’d think we’d need if Scott McKenna leaves.
Mind you, as much as i like Mikey Devlin, it’s clear from his injury record that he’s brittle so maybe another right sided centre half is needed.

I think we will have done well if we can keep McKenna this season, if we do he will definitely go in the summer.

I think they want him to but he hasn’t signed one yet,his contract expires at the end of the season.

I don't see why two right footed central defenders can't play together.

If Joe does return, DM will spin it as great strategy from him, in terms of letting the player leave to gain the required experience at a reasonably high level, that he wouldn't have got here, then takes him back on a freebie whilst still young.

Not sure if it’s true because I don’t see a lot of St Johnstone but a few folk saying on other forums that Shaughnessy plays on the left side of defence for them.
