Charlie "It is broken, it is well and truly broken"
Stallard "This is worrying, Kewell has a pretty huge task"

2-0 now and I'm already keeping an eye on the scores of the teams in 22nd and 23rd and it's the first day of September. This season is a relegation battle now.
Still time to turn it around, in theory. Just shows though that AH was right to swing the axe when he did.

We were robbed by the ref in the playoffs, but a man of KN's experience should have been able to get over it. Buggers belief he didn't even look for defenders though.

Looking at the script, if Crossley had won this, and then Kewell had lost the next one, people would be on his back from the start (clutches at straws). Some of these players should never play for Notts again, Jones top of the list. I would have Crossley on his bike too, if he's been coaching them.

****, I have committed the classic bedwetter error there.

KN didn't have any experience. That was one half of the problem.

Isn't he still the longest serving English player in the premiership?

eta: might have misremembered that stat. Might be KN was the longest serving English player in the prem to have never played for England or something. Either way, my point was that he has enough experience as a man to get over poor reffing decisions.

The defence is a shambles, the players poor to hopeless, we are getting thrashed every game, no motivation or organisation..

...but we are not in a relegation battle?

We're not in a promotion battle, that's for sure. Six games doesn't sound much but lose today and we've dropped 17 points already. Last season, the difference between automatic promotion and missing out altogether (hello Mansfield) was 12 points. If a promotion chasing team drew one and lost 5 late in the season, you'd say they'd bottled it.
I think it's important to accept the position we're in and work on sorting that situation out first. talk of going up whilst we're in the bottom half, never mind bottom two, is not going to help

    No, we aren't.
