v FGR......shocking, atrocious, pathetic .....chaotic.

On the basis that you cannot change half the team, let's go through this sensibly.

Fitz - Dodgy and hesitant from the first few minutes when he flapped at their first cross, let their shot slip under his arms for their 2nd goal.....has now officially lost the plot and his confidence....2.5

Hawk - Busy at right wing-back though not a defender.....3.5

Hewitt - Plays a different position every week, now back in central defence. He should be in midfield IMO......3

Brisley - Awful game. Gifted FGR the first with a half clearance. Cannot remember the last time he looked decent in the air....2.5

Jones - Will get rightly slated for his sending off, but was our best attacking player in the first half. Some cracking free kicks, one almost got Hewey in at the near post.....4 minus 1 for a dreadful tackle = 3

Milsom - Did ok in his first game back. Nothing flashy but a slightly tougher-tackling version of Vaughan.....3.5

Vaughan - Saw plenty of the ball but simply cannot find that killer ball into the forward two....3.5

Aless - The best of the midfield, bags of energy and running. Not sure why he was subbed unless we were playing bingo.....4.5

Enzio - Struggled to get into the match. Had one or two defenders climbing all over him for most of the game....4

Dennis - Is he fit? apart from a 30-yard effort, was rarely in the game. Either the midfield are not spotting him, or else he is rarely in space. No idea....3

Hemmings - Once again the pick of the front two. Bags of energy....4

Subs

Stead - Came on to score after Husin and Hemmings exchanged passes and fed the ball to his feet, quick swivel and shot under the keeper....4.5

Husin - Cannot cross a ball from a free-kick to save his life....took 3, all straight out of play....shocking....2.5

Kellett - Replaced Milsom but never improved the midfield which simply cannot get our forwards into space.....3

Overall a shocking game. Notts are totally devoid of shape and confidence....as soon as the first goal goes in, it looks like 2 or 3 will follow.....welcome to ML, Mr Kewell, good luck....you will need it!

Hehe....they were out of 10, but sadly our joint MOMs, Stead and Aless, IMO, only reached 4.5 ie not even half-decent.

If anyone else wants to mark any of this shower, higher than a 5, be my guest.....but make sure you return Swale's rose-tinted specs afterwards....we were dreadful...again.

Too depressed to give ratings , well rational ratings anyway. Can someone tell me why hall or bird or any of our promising youngsters( remaye 4 goals midweek ) do no get in front of those bloody useless clowns like Jones and Brisley?

Hall is still injured, Remaye will get his chance at some point but on paper, there is nothing wrong with our front two......no idea about Bird, maybe they will stop moving Hewey along the back 4 at some point and put a "proper" defender in there, though Bird is still considered to be a youngster, 19?

Thanks Tarquin, bird should be starting, no idea what this modern day obsession is with not playing guys under 21? Fingers crossed hall returns soon.do question our training tactics with amount of injuries incurred early doors.Agreed on paper our front 2 good enough and maybe with decent support and service they will prove to be so.

Are we allowed to give minus points, or 1/2 a point if they got the shirt on the right way round, which once again they managed to disgrace with honours. All l can say is that l am glad that l am not guilty of signing any of this shower of Gutless, Skill-less group that wish to be known as Notts County Footballers.
