Thread: Mike Martin - do the right thing please

  1. #41
We dropped points to a bunch of guys who don’t count football as their only job.

When that starts becoming less than unacceptable, you’re on a slippery slope.

I've probably asked this before so apologies in advance.., but do the chairman an bods actually go to the games. If so, surely they can see what everyone else does and find it unacceptable and unlikely to improve. If we're not careful John Hughes might be the only option left and even he might turn us down...

MM should be apologising for not sacking him In the summer for free. Horrific decision. We could've had David Hopkin or Stuart Mccall In.

    Still free:

Jim McIntyre. Owen Coyle. Yogi. Jim Duffy. Robbie Neilson.

They all at least know what's expected at our club.

I'm all for stability but that will only come when the right person is in charge of the team and sorts the footballing side of the club.

To be fair, you are giving me the fear with those options...

Apart from Neilson, he'd be right at the top of my list, good manager at Hearts (failed in England but so did Levein and McInnes)

We need stability with a decent manager

A scrappy set piece, then a free kick with the game lost.
A cracker of an individual goal, then tippy, tappy until we get a goal by playing direct. After that we are ripped apart for their goal and might have conceded more.
Defender scores from 2 set pieces then a counter attack against a really poor side.
Another set piece goal from a defender against the run of play. Only seen the Alloa provided highlights, but we could easily have lost 6-0 on Saturday!

If you really want us back in the top league, then action has to be taken sooner rather than later, or its another season doon!

Do you really think it's possible to build a championship winning team, almost from scratch, during one summer transfer window?

To be fair Terry that's exactly what Jack Ross did last season, putting together the bulk of his team in the previous January transfer window which subsequently got them out of a right hole and kept them up, with the same team then going on to win promotion.

Know what you're saying and agree but we're going to have to put up with seeing poor football and loads and loads of set piece goals for and against us, it's indicative of the league we're in unfortunately.

My biggest gripe is that we have the players to be a step ahead of the rest but like most other posters we don't have the manager. I honestly don't think the players respect him.

    In a word, yes!

It's certainly easier than the clown is making it look
