    The limitations of the king

I am not one to single any one player out but I think a freshen up is needed in the middle
As much as I like Smallwood I think this step up us too much for him
He has had 6 games now and looks to be struggling with the pace of it
With Travis and now reed ready to come in I think it's time for a change.

Or he could just need to acclimatise to the higher level.. One defeat in 6 with RS an ever present and not 100% in top form.. Not that bad is it?

    A fair point made saxo
I can take a loss but yesterday knocked the stuffing out of me
We didn't lose many last season so to suffer a heavy loss like that was hard to swallow.

I also think Williams will be back in the next game aswell.
Smallwood is a model pro, and doesn't do anything wrong persay. The game simply passes him by.
This has not just become an issue now.
It was always going to happen. he is limited. Perfect for Div1 but not quite good enough for this level.
I said it after 1 game. I will say it again now.
About 6 of the starters from the first game, will not be regular starters after Christmas. We cant just eject them from the team. That would destroy team spirit.

But if you demanded we should not do this, no way can you start moaning about one defeat in 6. That would be ridiculous and so over the top. One of the main reasons we got a hiding, was he has stayed loyal. To players not quite good enough.
You simply cant have it both ways.

Disagree, Champs. No evidence so far that Bell is superior to Williams. I don't know what you mean by "the game passing him by."
You're still making the assumption that ALL the new players will be much better than the originals. That's just guesswork at the moment.
