Long way to go yet mate, but I do get this feeling you are approaching the end of the road with the old Prem thing. At least you stand half a chance, getting knocked out of the Europa League may save you? That would've been game over if you'd got in that. Cardiff and Huddersfield are shocking. You and a few others will be battling it out to avoid that 3rd relegation spot. After those 2, I don't think there are many worse. I certainly could not pay money to watch that rubbish served up every week. Its awful. I also think Mr Dyche has been sussed aswell. Which was always going to happen after a couple of seasons.
Plus the main thing, was you would have to have removed those wooden seats from the away end. Meaning your club would have to spend a lot of money. Which they will never ever do. So I believe they were never actually going to get in that Europa League. They would have to have spent more money making Turf into a stadium fit for people to sit in, as opposed to a throwback to something from the 70's. They would not have made anything like that by being in the tournament. Lets face it, clubs like Burnley aren't set up for this kind of thing.

At least 2 or 3 board members are now extremely rich people and have not spent a penny. They certainly have enjoyed this ride. I just feel sorry for you poor buggers.

Ah well, I'm over it!! We will be playing one another again next season

    That's a bold prediction, Champs!
I'm not sure what you mean about Dyche being "sussed". Whatever happens, he has done a brilliant job.
Getting to 7th in the PL was beyond everyone's expectations. Following up is always more difficult (look at Leicester), but I wouldn't be surprised if he found a way of steering the team to survival.

When we were in Lg One a few years ago I and a few of us rated Dack and couldn't understand why no 'bigger' clubs wanted to sign him from Gillingham then. If (and I ask IF) he is a problem off the pitch however, maybe most teams just don't want to get their fingers burned with a player like that.
But who on earth was prepared to pay £15 mill for him, they must be absolutely crazy!.

The thing is, Acido, unlike some other "bad eggs", I don't think there have been any problems (at Rovers, anyway) with his attitude towards training or his dedication to the team. He actually seems popular with the other players.
Away from the club, unfortunately, he appears to have little self-control and seems to suffer from a bizarre inability to think about consequences.
As for the offers, let's be honest, most managers who are getting desperate will turn a blind eye to behaviour if they think they're getting real talent. In any case, many managers are egotists who have complete faith in their own ability to turn someone around!
(I'm in a particularly cynical mood, this week!)

Have you ever sat and watched them? And it speaks volumes for the quality in that league if they ended up the 7th best team in the entire country. I never thought he'd reinvented the wheel. He found a winning formula. I'm not sure it's the miracle it's paraded as. It's diabolical football. Sometimes they don't even Have a shot on goal in 90 mins. It's complete spoiler football. Are they even much better than us. You will argue that are on another level. I'm not convinced.

sussed as in .....we know they will come and put 10 men behind the ball, and not bother attacking once.
So a manager has to find a way of beating a side intent on going for a nil nil. In a game of football, you need two teams to play, for it to be a spectacle worth watching for the fans. If one refuses, and camps in one half for 90 mins, its dreadful. And its taken a few sides time to work out how to get results against that.
You watched Wimbeldon in the 80's? This isn't new Auks, its been used for donkies years. Refusal to play football.
I remember them giving us stick when Allardyce was at Rovers, saying they couldn't put up with that, as it was rubbish to watch.
As long as I have been watching football there has always been the majority of sides wanting to try play football. Its an entertainment business at the end of the day. A game.
And there has always been one or two sides who refuse to do that, and its normally awful to watch. But it may painfully get results. But it will always be sussed in the end by decent coaches with a game plan. Good sides will eventually suss out how to play against them.
They wont be finishing 7th this season mate, I will guarantee you that. If they where this amazing fresh unit, they would be progressing surley?
Havent they lost every match apart from one draw thus far? Sussed .......

They have done well to get to the heady heights they find themselves. It's also absolute tosh that's served up most weeks.

I tend to agree with you,but if it brings in 120 million every season for staying up it's probably worth it to the board.. We all know the championship is the most level playing field but it's all about money nowadays..TBF...the Premier league bores me to death ..
