    They didn’t pay enough to get source on him Jammy. That would have cost them another €250k! 😂

    The club bought Saivet for £4.5m for McLaren, put him on a £35k a week 5 year contract and can’t get rid (he’s got 3 years left). They sold Mbemba for €4.5m to the Portuguese champions who had been in the last 16 of the Champions League last season and qualified for this years comp and Del Boy and his minions were incapable of getting anything more out of a club in their situation. He had 2 years left on his contract so if he was on say £30k a week roughly £1.45m a year (x 2 £3m) by this showers calculations ie: taking the WHOLE contract incl wages into account when buying a player, we’ve got back most of what we paid for him.

    I must admit I did like him, but clearly there were no other takers so he can’t have been that good/well thought of in European football circles.
