You say a team worthy of the club but where does the worthy come in terms of league status and how much is needed to do this?

We generally don't buy low to sell high. It's worked like that with a few players but many have been bought and sold for less than the buy and also the players we sold for big profit were generally players that forced their own exit.
And this is generally where the problem lies.

You don't even stand still doing that
You can stand still, gain or literally drop like a stone. It's all a gamble.

I agree it could take off but where to?
Which clubs does this club take over the mantle from?

    Man Utd?
    Man City?
    @rsenal?
    Tottenham?
    Chelsea?
    Liverpool?
    Everton?

You see, the money bags clubs seem to be growing, so where do we fit in to actually even that out?

We could literally end up with egg on our faces and be in serious trouble, forcing Ashley to loan high into the club again, in which case the returns would have to be instant for him, including interest most likely...especially at this stage.

It's not as easy as 123 with Newcastle United based in the north east of England and classed as second class to the South...or shall I say the powers that be further south.

To lose high on a football club such as ours would have dire consequences if you consider what we are up against.

It possibly could but everything would literally have to click into place for it to happen.
Generally speaking we could end up with a squad of hard to shift quality mercenaries on big contracts that other clubs will not match unless we give them away.

It's extremely possible and that's what we're up against, no matter who the owner is.

And were we not second amongst that lot under our previous owner.

Now all we have is a perpetual worry about a third relegation in a decade.

Even you must see there is something seriously wrong.

Like I said earlier. If we are on even ground in a fair game we can compete against any club in England...no two ways about it.

Under Hall and co we were the beg steal and borrow club to get up the top. We had the long term plan and vision that basically went blurry because we took the chance to go for it and got a few years flirting around the top, then it all started to change.

Only a blank cheque owner will put us back among the elites if those elites are allowed to carry on at the rate they are.
Anything other than that and we are playing also-ran with the rest of the cannon fodder.
It's not nice to think of due to the overall size of this club but that's the reality of it as far as I see it.

A little bit of advice for you. If you feel the need to rant and use foul language then pm me and get it off your chest. People don't need to see it in the forum.

Maybe if we had a multi billionaire owner and a club making £130m.

    Wait a minute

Sadly mate, you set the bar some time ago when it came to disgusting threads.

For you to complain is laughable.

The mods are trying to pull the board back into shape. Be a lot easier, I'm sure for them if you shut the **** up.
