    A funny thing is salt, no one ever mentions it, you never have a discussion about it with your best mate in a pub, but there it is in everyone's cupboard. You have no idea how it got there, you have no recollection of buying it, but there it is alright, Salt.
    In Coseley we we sometimes use the familiar and call it Saul.

    Funny thing salt.

    My wife hates the taste of it yet all my ex girlfriends loved it!

    I will tell ye something else about salt, its good for ye.
    I stopped having it for a while, salt that is, and i kept getting cramp in my legs. I started putting salt on my food again and hey, no more cramp.
    Yah, but Sugar, sugar is no good for ye at all, don't be messing with it.

    In Old Hill years ago I remember my older relatives calling it Sort, Iv also heard Solt a lot.
