    Queens Favourite ' oldies'

I have just been handed a great piece that was in the Cumberland News on Ivor Broadis and its something that would be right up Ftivano's street. Anyway, that got me thinking about others - like Ivor- who were considered a bit passed their peak level at the top level but came to Palmerston and were successes. Off the top of my head Pat McCluskey and the great Bobby Parker who was the rock our promotion in 85-6 was built on. Your turn ?

Former player manager Allan Johnston. Didn’t join us until he was in his mid 30’s and was still a class player

Chris Balderstone was a class act but going away back Charlie Johnstone was far from finished when Rangers let
him go and he joined Queens age 34 and starred on the left wing for another 7 years ! !

The Goalie! Joined us at the age of 38 at the very end of a long illustrious career. Goram played his part in helping us secure the challenge cup.

Does anyone remember Neil Orr ? He done a good job for us in the mid 90s when getting on a bit. Better known for his time at Morton, West Ham and Hibs.

Hammer must have been really good for you to remember him as he only played 7 games for Queens mate.

I have a good long range memory for someone who can't remember what the wife said to me 10 minutes before. Yes, only 7 games but he was very good and could tell he had played a higher level.
