U23s v Wigan Tuesday 2pm at Ilkeston - Free for season ticket holders

Notts County's Under 23s will kick off their Central League campaign against Wigan Athletic at Ilkeston Town's New Manor Ground on Tuesday 11 September (kick-off 2pm).

While the team will predominantly feature players in the development phase, clubs are entitled to field as many senior players as they like in Central League matches.

Notts' first-team coach Steve Chettle will lead the side.

Prices for all home Central League fixtures are as follows:

    Season ticket holders: Free

    Adults: £3

    Under 18s: £1

Kewell to use reserve U23 game to figure out his best L2 team?......yep, needs about 500 season ticket holders screaming at him from the sidelines.......for free.....hahahaha

ps....my two eldest lads tell me that you can buy beers at the bar, and sup 'em on the touchline whilst watching the game?......nice one

A pleasant afternoon out, game ended 1-1. A very youthful squad, with Will Patching (who scored) the only player anywhere near the first team. Wigan had the better chances but Culverwell made some good saves and there were several great last ditch blocks. I just hope we show the same application as these kids on Saturday.

Thought it was a poor game that never really got going until very late on in the game

Some comedy defending early on at the back for Notts but credit to the Notts keeper who recovered well to make some fine saves & looks a good prospect!

Notts goal came about when the Wigan keeper got caught in possesion by Patching who had the simple task of tapping into a empty net.

Wigan equalised with a injury time free header.

Notts had chance to win it in the last minute(not sure who it was)but blasted the shot over the bar.

    Fair result 1-1
