How about the Bertie Wooster stadium.? Or the stadium of a demon that took a monkey for wife, and we have Brisley? Or the Meadow Lane Gibbett?

The ideal stadium sponsors would be Fortress GB, as not only would they get our online and digital ticket sales sorted but the stadium could then be called “Fortress Meadow Lane”.

I'm afraid that yet again it's got to be "The Comedy Club Stadium".

We want Fortress Meadow Lane, but G4S Meadow Lane is more like it - the scene of many lucky escapes, some easily breached walls and lots of comical defending. Still, at least there’s no overcrowding.

I would imagine that for the reason mentioned (“It’ll always be Meadow Lane to me”), naming rights to existing grounds aren’t particularly lucrative. Mind you, even a big club like Spurs seem to be struggling to find a brand for their new stadium, with HSBC allegedly just dropping out.

But there was talk of us trying to emulate big guns like Sunderland and Man U. under Nolan's stewardship.

The Stadium of Light Ales and the Theatre of Jim Beams were both floated.
