Great turnout at the Loreburn Centre and nice to see on the back wall of the SFA unit an action shot of Queen
of the South's 84 - yard hero Ryan McCann. The old cup was well guarded with 3 security guys and 2 local cops
in attendance when I looked in prior to the game at Palmy. With lots of young and older Queens fans in the queue
I was surprised to see in today's Standard a photo of a fan with the cup wearing an Aberdeen shirt ! !

The lad in front of me asked the Hampden museum man that question and he said it was THE Scottish Cup - why would they need 3 security guys to guard a replica ?

I'm not mad. I know the curator and he told me that the Scottish Cup only leaves to be presented to the winners on Finals day and is returned to the museum...
