Probably the same reason we've signed quite a few players, because the Board wouldn't go the extra mile to sign the players Sean really wanted.

Yeah it's looking like a Plonker season to me! No midfield recruits at all and therefore lack of quality. We knew Arfield was off and Marney being released and we had 2 midfielders injured with no date for a return. Therefore 4 midfield player going or not around for an undetermined period and our board gives Dyche nothing. We are even in a European competition as well and we act like the little thinkers out board are. What's the excuse when Dyche leaves and we get relegated??. Our track record back to last season shows how we have struggled. We have sabotaged ourselves before the season even started. No I am not asking for Messi et al but surely we could have signed some better options and give the squad boast. We are in the richest league in the world thinking like plonkers!!!!

Like bollox they are, they are businessmen first and foremost, and I'm afraid Garlick for all the Millions he's made in his own profession, he's like a duck out of water being a Premier League Chairman, and the KICKER/KILLER is... . . . . . . he's making money from it.
