    English as she is writ.

Just been looking on Trip Advisor at a review of a pub in Cornwall, and found this.

"Local muscles were really good and the ploughman's hugh."

The mind boggles, I'm in two minds whether to try it or not. It is Cornwall after all, rum buggers down there.

Was it written by a man, a woman or one of the new breed of non-genders? My mind also boggles with a lot of things these days.
The Met policeman who is geing hauled over the coals for saying that something/someboy was Whiter than White!!
A PC can not be PC if he is typing things on his PC which may go into print to say something which is not PC and could easily offend someone who is very PC ---if you get my drift.

My mind is truly boggling now!

Funny lot down there. No Football League Clubs because they prefer ploughing competitions.Still their pasties and cream teas are nice, perhaps that's where Hugh gets his muscles from.
