If you still think we’re bigger fair enough. All about opinions.
And as long as we’re being run the way we are with Czaba as manager we’re more likely to get worse.

As for a new manager would it matter who appointed him.
Haven’t heard one name that would unite the support.
A fair point and i aint going all funster and talking about a sleeping giant I still think a lot of managers would think i can get them back to top 6 - especially if the fans came back in numbers.

Neilson or Wright would unite the support in time with their actions and ability to get the team playing for them in their image and give us a chance of promotion this season, plus they talk sense before and after games in a logical measured manner, they know how to handle the press, they know how to get a changing room on side, lastly better game management and they wouldn't be nearly as negative or defensive as Csaba

more i think about Neilson the more i like that idea too but 1st choice would be Wright. I dont know why i think that but heard he takes no schite

Czaba has many faults but 2 that stand out for me -
Seems to be a manager that starts a game with 1 point and sees success if he keeps it.
Winning is a bonus rather than a target.
He actually believes that we’re playing well.
    And a point of doom.
If we get a new manager and he isn’t any good either then we’re f****d.

Wright- what makes you think he be able to recreate the same success at united? his style of play isnt exactly great?
neilson- can he do it with CL influence? would he consider united to much of a drop?

i have no problems with either choice tbh but i dont think wright would come and neilson would consider it but doubt hed fancy it tbh.

Of course Neilson would want it, we are the 6th biggest club in the country and may need a new manager soon, the chance to revive this club the way Levein did would be appealing with the potential we have is there for all to see in very recent times (2006-2015)

Guys like him must look and think they could do better than Csaba with what we have if only they got the chance

Let's just say, better us than the fun having this choice first

Neilson would be an idiot to turn us down, he won't get offered a job at a bigger club in Scotland than us. Yes, we're not exactly a dream job for any manager at the moment, but I think most managers will be happier to come here now that ST is gone.

Tommy Wright wants away, but I'm not sure we would be his preferred choice. I think he feels a bit hard done by when it comes to not getting offered bigger gigs down south, so not sure we would be the logical next step for someone who already has aspirations higher than the Premiership.

We need someone who is ambitious but willing to spend 3-5 years building something here. (I'm guessing that's what TTT and Frank want Shabba to do, although I'd have to say that I'm in the camp that thinks he's not up to it.)

Not heard a name that really interest me.

Neilson maybe but a bit uninspiring.

Wright is an arsehole. Effective but an arsehole and I expect he will be looking at Norn Iron job next.

Just an interesting side point but you could you imagine, for a second, that the next manager ended up being awful.

Where could we end up? High stakes.

Would need to do what Hibs did with Lennon. Like him or not, winner as player and manager, managed in top European competition. For Hibs he had the right pedigree. We need someone like that. Almost a banker of an appointment.

(Not an argument for keeping Csaba just an interesting thought. a scary one mind)

Would be great if we could get a manager of that calibre, but we'd have to completely obliterate the budget. Not convinced the board has the reddies to make as bold an appointment as that.

Tommy Wright is not coming to Tannadice. He turned us down when we had money, were in the Premiership and had a decent squad. Now assuming we can afford to pay off Csaba, and we have the money to pay Saints compo for Tommy and his staff; where is the money going to come from to pay the wages it would take to convince a manager to take over a failing poor squad at a club he positively dislikes?
