    Seriously though

Did anyone ever think it would be going so well so early. The dross has gone, the remaining and new have picked up and bought into Bielsa's plan, and hit the ground running from day 1 vs Stoke.
The turn around from last year is unbelievable. Fair enough, we won matches early on too, but not with near the same conviction that we are winning with now. We are 'up em' now from start to finish, and any player who isn't is 'rested' immediately.
Its gonna happen folks, maybe not as champions, but its gonna happen.

Hope I havn't feckin jinxed now for monkeyboy on sat.

    i did Billy.
Bielsa is a legend in the game, i said last season that i thought our squad was decent but lacked direction and a coach who knows what hes doing.Several times on here people were saying we need this guy or that guy, i would say, spend it on a coach.
The most suprising aspect for me is midfield, a position in which i think we have been dire for a number of seasons. Klitch i thought would be good if he played (too many on here quick to write players off before they even play 90 mins for us), but what a revelation Phillips is this season, never thought he would be a footballer, just shows the value of coaching.

At the start of every season I am always optimistic that we will be up for promotion, one way or the other by seasons end.

That being said, this season I knew very little of Biesla prior to his appointment and was one of those people that thought we should have given Heckingbottom more time, just because I think everyone should be given a proper chance to shine. Very, very pleased I was so wrong with this one .

Also when the transfer window closed, I found it all to be a little underwhelming, especially as we were rumoured to have £20 million to spend. We signed only a couple of players ( not including loans) and then sold off Vieira to balance books imo. I had just expected a bit more than that. (obviously what the heck do I know).

Once I read a bit more about Biesla, saw more good articles and comments in the media and from other managers I started to believe that Biesla would be the right fit for Leeds and vice versa. Once the dross started being shipped out with a no nonsense approach, youth players being believed in and promoted, from that point I really believed we could end up having a season to really remember.

I didn't expect us to be doing quite this well, but all the signs are there that this season could be the one - lots of players scoring, clean sheets, dominating possession, winning games by more than 1 goal, standing up to the physical teams and very little noise from the club - we are defo building momentum.

Have to agree, I remember the first game against Stoke - seeing the team sheet left me stunned and depressed - Dougles the only addition to last season's dross FFS!
    How wrong was I?

Still not getting carried away, we beat Brum on Saturday and I will start to believe - Beat Wednesday next Friday and I will be ecstatic - Didn't Brum do the double over us last season? and wheren't we battered the last two seasons at Hillsborough?

BUT we are definitely not a team to roll over this year, and we have players to bring in or on that can change a game - something we haven't had the luxury of for bloody years.

i hoped it would be this good but didn’t expect it. I also stuck up for a lot of the squad being decent players last season not least Phillips and Klich and not happy for me that they are doing so well but really pleased for them.

my youngest son also said - wow it’s a novelty I am supporting a team for the first time I can remember that is actually good!

Hope we smash ash the Blues tomorrow - Monk will be so smug otherwise.

Think Phillips has just been told to do what he is good at and leave the rest to other people, the fact he has a very clear role and knows what he is doing means he is now much more effective.
