Dom Ball is a far better DM than Gleeson - let alone Jack - Ball's the guy we should be playing in there.

Jack is way better than Gleeson. Jack got about the park better and actually went forwards sometimes. Even chipped in the odd goal - can't see Gleeson ever doing that.

Gleeson's not a rat faced snake c'unt though to his credit.

Gleeson looks like another pointless and disappointing signing to add to the list I'm afraid...

It's not clear whether Gleeson and Forrester were brought in to be first team regulars but I can only assume they were...in which case there are serious question marks over our summer recruitment. Fortunately there's some reason to be optimistic about some of the younger lads and Ferguson was a great piece of business.

Gleeson doesn't seem to be fit but we had the same issue with Greg Stewart at the beginning of last season. Why do we sign players who clearly aren't in shape?

Forrester looks like he was signed on the basis of stuff he did 2-3 years ago - not what he's done recently - cause what he's shown so far is nowhere near good enough.

I've been very negative about Forrester but I did think he looked a bit better when he came on on Saturday. Not everything came off for him but at least he was trying to make things happen rather than hiding, and he put away a couple of decent balls. He'll obviously never be a hard man but I also thought he showed a bit of determination that hasn't been there in other games I've seen.

I'm not saying he's turned the corner by any stretch but I'm a tiny smidgen more optimistic than I was.

On the odd occasion Jack went forward he usually passed the ball sideways,hence why he only scored 11 goals in 250 games.

He also never used to tackle although that was maybe under McInnes orders,I noticed he does tackle for the Huns which is maybe why he is never off the treatment table too long.

Saying Dom Ball is far better than Gleeson is a tad over the top too, I recall him being as poor as Gleeson is when he first came here.He was so bad in one game he looked like he was away to start crying at one point.

Gleeson has played several times for Republic of Ireland I think... hard to believe based on his performances here so far.
Ball is superior in just about every way - he's faster, better in the tackle, taller and better in the air, has more energy, gets around the pitch more and from what I can tell his control and passing is at least equal to Gleeson's.

Thought Gleeson had a decent performance when he played today. He was generally comfortable on the ball and always looked to be involved which was pleasing. I can certainly criticise quickly at times but I will say decent performance today and keep improving as long as you are with us lad.
