    Team vs Palace and Marriner

Surely Joselu won't be untying the laces on his clown shoes to put his boots on for this one? Similarly, Hayden will hopefully have his hands too full with all the pies he's clearly been eating in the close season to stretch his top over his gut in preparation for this one. (ok, ok...hyperbole for comic effect, but you get the picture ) So...

    ..........................................Dubravka ......................................

    Yedlin...................Fernandez................ Lascelles.........Dummett

    Ritchie..................Shelvey................Di ame............Kenedy....

    ..............................Perez............... .............

    ....................................Rondon........ .......

Personally, I'd give Murphy as shot at the Perez role. I've already lost patience with him this season-he's shite for 95% of 95% of the games he plays in. Kenedy has played like a drain this season but some of the stick he's getting elsewhere is unreal-along with Dubravka he helped turn our season round after January. Don't know if Palace do this but I wouldn't be surprised to see Zaha shift onto the right at some stage so he can have a run at Dummett to give Marriner a better chance of sending one of our lot off.

Agree...Perez offers nothing apart from hard work.

I'd even be tempted to put Murphy wide and Ritchie through the middle.

Ritchie is our best (only?) crosser of the ball, so playing him through the middle would remove what has proven to be one of our most effective routes for goals so far this season. Murphy can't cross for ****. If we have to play Murphy, he'd be the better choice to play through the middle. But failing that, why not Muto in for Ayoze? Isn't he a 'number 10'? He has some pace, so alongside a slower, bigger striker like Rondon he might be a good choice.

I think Joselu will start mind. I suspect we'll be focused for the first hour on stopping Zaha, and then (assuming we're still in the game), we'll look to nab a goal and take the points. It's Rafa's way. And hopefully it'll work - more than anything, we need a win today. Doesn't matter who plays or scores or assists, we desperately need to get a win on the board before it becomes a 'thing'.

Tbh, it'll be insane if we start with Joselu.

I cannot believe Ritchie has never played the number 10 role.

As long as Atsu doesnt replace him on the wing.

Sorry, I'm well aware I've had a go at a number of our players already today but, if the cap fits....

I would play Kenedy at number ten(never ganning to happen though)because he has been ****e on the wing so far.
I really think he could do a good job there, quick feet/eye for a pass...
