Saw them at secc when they were supporting Status Quo, decent guys who were obviously still enjoying what they were doing.

Remember playing darts against a team in Aberdeen (possibly the Frigate) and they played Chas & Dave songs on the juke box all night ****ing long. **** that was annoying. (We beat them)

Maybe Cockney but I saw them twice at The Lemon Tree (circa 2004) and Drummonds a couple of years later. The Lemon Tree night was enjoyable, Drummonds less so...

Chas Hodges had a huge influence on the development of UK rock n roll, I’m afraid. Shallow thinking by anyone who takes no account of his work with Joe Meek’s house band the Outlaws, and his input on bass, songwriting and singing to Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers and Heads Hands and Feet (with Albert Lee).

He was a very good musician, much in demand as a sessioneer

    It’s all here.

    If possible, listen without prejudice.

Aye, but bass is the easy one to play

Seriously, it would be unfair to judge him on Snooker Loopy alone. Still never got round to watching Telstar which is remiss of me.
