If you work for a football club you can't bet on football is pretty much the rule.
May not extend to every one like the programme seller but it most definitely does to board members.

It’s an absolute nonesense of a rule not being able to bet on football, fair enough betting on games that ‘your’ club is involved in should be a no no, but other games?
