    Under 23's/Training pitch/Rafa Contract

It's been reported in Chronicle (i think, i read on my phone and now can't find it on laptop).

That the Rafa wants the club to invest in Under 23's and the training pitches before he'll consider any new contract.

To me that reads as he accepts we're not going to spend loads, so wants to do the next best thing and produce home grown talent.

Allegedly, he's been told that the club feel the pitches are ok and that the money spent into the under 23s couldn't be guaranteed to bring a return.

So not only will we not spend big on players to improve we won't even spend so we can produce ourselves.

Annoyingly i cannot find the article but it is something i could certainly believe.
