    Oor Wee Jum Statue

Anybody know if there's any further word on this progressing? Haven't heard anything for a wee while.

My problem would be where it would be situated. No way outside tannadice ( play park or something) would be vandalised within days. Inside tannadice is only solution East stand lower maybe? Surely the club could fork out the cash for this ..... otherwise how long do grudges last????

There’s the space next to shed in corner that has nothing in it.

Could have him standing watching over the pitch - berating the odd linesman occasionally

A statue inside the ground seems a bit daft tbh. However I do agree, outside the ground anywhere close to Tannadice it would be vandalise in days.

Is there not space for it just outside the players/directors entrance which is secured by fencing. Would look great there imo

With our current state of affairs, need to keep the statue locked in in case it leaves and walks over to the other side of the road.....

As above, wee JYM gave those of us who were lucky enough to witness it some of the best times following United. Those fantastic midweek European games with an atmosphere second to none. Not least the Uefa Cup final second leg at Tannadeechee. Not forgetting that we won the league at Dens. Unlikely to be repeated anytime soon.... Those were very happy days where you went to every game expecting United to win.
